On January 26, 2026, Huanggang's first government-university-enterprise co-constructed industry-education integration automobile production base project was officially signed and settled at the Hejiahu Campus of Huanggang Vocational College of Science and Technology. With a total investment of 500 million yuan, the project is led by the Tuanfeng County Government and Huanggang Vocational College of Science and Technology, and jointly established with a number of industry enterprises to form Hubei Zhihuigang Automobile Industry Co., Ltd. for operation. After full commissioning, it is expected to achieve an annual output value of more than 1 billion yuan and an annual export volume of more than 200 million yuan, filling the gap in Huanggang's special-purpose vehicle production field.

It is reported that the base will build three core platforms: a talent training platform, a special-purpose vehicle R&D platform, and an industry-education collaboration platform. Among them, the talent training platform adopts the "order-based training and on-the-job internship" model to open up employment channels for students; the R&D platform focuses on cutting-edge industry technologies to accelerate the transformation of achievements; the collaboration platform promotes universities and enterprises to jointly formulate training programs and develop characteristic courses. The Tuanfeng County Government stated that it will provide full-service guarantee to promote the early completion and commissioning of the project, helping the in-depth integration of vocational education and the local special-purpose vehicle industry.
