Recently, it was learned from activities related to the innovative development of the special-purpose vehicle industry that with the in-depth integration of new energy and intelligent technologies, the intelligentization process of China's special-purpose vehicles has continued to accelerate. Sanitation vehicles equipped with independent L4-level autonomous driving domain controllers have realized multi-scenario application, capable of completing more than 30 functions such as automatic charging, garbage dumping, and remote dispatching.

Zhang Yongwei, Vice Chairman of the China Electric Vehicle 100 People's Congress, stated that the core value of special-purpose vehicle intelligentization lies in solving cost reduction, efficiency improvement and industrial function upgrading. In scenarios such as ports, mines, and urban sanitation, the efficiency improvement and cost savings brought by autonomous driving vehicles have been quantitatively verified, and intelligentization has changed from an "optional item" to a "must-have item" for enterprises' survival and development. At present, JAC Motors' L4-level unmanned delivery vehicles and L4-level unmanned mining trucks, as well as Kehua Special Automobile's unmanned intelligent garbage collection and transportation vehicles, have all been put into operation. Among them, Kehua Special Automobile's products achieve all-weather efficient operation through multi-sensor fusion and centimeter-level positioning, optimizing the cost structure of sanitation operations.
